Camille here! Otherwise known as @trishkaa on twitter. I’m nineteen years old, living in the suburbs and schooling in the best city in the world, Chicago. I haven’t been a Blackhawks fan for long; in fact I didn’t really care about them until last season. You see, I’m not your typical “fan,” I didn’t grow up in a household who followed hockey or any sport for that matter. I grew up in the Philippines, where hockey was just something that was on TV once in a while, if ever. Even when I moved to the US, I still didn’t care for hockey, I didn’t know anyone who played or watched it, and all I knew was the guys fought each other once in a while. I lived my life oblivious to the awesome sport that is hockey.
It wasn’t until the end of the amazing 2008 Cubs season that I knew I needed to fill a void in my empty life. I was unemployed and I didn’t have anything better to do at night but watch sports. From there on out, I started watching the Blackhawks on TV and fell for the guys in red and black.
I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming season, especially after this whirlwind summer the team decided to partake in. I haven’t gone to a Blackhawks game yet, but I’m going to my first ever game on September 19 against the Capitals and I’m so excited. It definitely won’t be the last, but I finally get to break the seal that should’ve been broken long ago.
And, that’s all I have to say for now =P. I’m sure I’ll be back sometime sooner rather than later.

I’m Clare or @hawksgirl924 if you know me from Twitter. I have been a Hawks fan since the beginning of 2007-08. I love the Blackhawks with a passion but am also a Sabres fan because of living in Buffalo. I am a bad luck charm for the Hawks apparently, every game I have gone to they have lost but I am hoping that this year after going to six games that will change.

I do have my favorite Blackhawks but I love all of them and think they are wonderful. I write All Hawks Hockey but I am more often on Twitter rambling about the Hawks and life in general. Since it is the depths of the off-season, just 19 more days until I am back at hockey games, I don’t have too much to talk about but soon I’m sure I will be back.

(Author’s notes: This is the blog post that people tend to remember when I’m around, so it’s only fair that I bring it over here to NTIC instead of letting it gather dust on my own failed blog. This is a little bittersweet for me because Puck Bunny and myself had a huge friendship-destroying falling-out about a month ago — but, eh, fuck it. This experience will never not be funny.)
