Meet the Girls
Carrie is a writer, so she always has writing on the brain. She decided that the Blackhawks’ biggest fans on Twitter needed a forum where they could share their thoughts in more than 140 characters. Carrie is also a Karaoke DJ, so she hopes to perform with Kris Versteeg some day.
Kat came up with the name of the website. How? She’s awesome, she’s clever and she (along with the rest of us) is NOT (nor will she ever be) a member of the Ice Crew — mostly because she can’t ice skate and looks horrible in knee-high socks. If there had been a breakfast auction for Adam Burish, Kat would have gladly emptied her bank account to spend the morning with him. (Note from Kat: Yes — all $3.49 in said account. No expense is too great!)
Camille is a huge advocate for getting more Hawks players on Twitter. And since she’s a Cubbies fan, the 2009 Winter Classic could really only be at one place… Wrigley Field.
Susan had already been blogging about the Hawks for awhile, with special close attention paid to the lovely Patrick Sharp. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stay away from him.
Claudia developed a recent crush on Adam Burish after meeting him at a bar in Naperville. He’s really that charming. However, she might have to fight it out with Kat to see which lady gets to have “breakfast” with him.
Jeanna is a die hard Hawks fan, but she lives in North Carolina…. Panthers, who? She’s a rare breed on this site, as she’s also a White Sox fan (so is Carrie), but the other chicks will look past that, because we’re here to talk about HOCKEY and the HAWKS! But don’t fret if the Sox show up in one of her posts… the Hawks do hang out there sometimes.
Clare (yes, another “C” name) deserves a standing-O for her devotion to the Hawks. Not only does she write her own blog, All Hawks Hockey, but she doesn’t even live in Chicago! This Buffalo beauty even made a special trip to the Windy City for the 2009 Convention. Bravo, Clare!
Cari is another East Coast gal, and she’s in love with Kris Versteeg of the Chicago Blackhawks. Although Cari’s personal blog is usually about the Buffalo Sabres, it’s ok because that’s where she lives! And while nottheicecrew.com might be dedicated to the Blackhawks, we don’t discriminate. Cari is free to blog about whoever she wants… especially about Kris Versteeg.
